Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough.

Welcome to Met by Moonlight.
Everything in my life has led to Met by Moonlight’s creation. World-building has always been a love of mine whether it has been for theatre, film, events, my sister’s birthday parties, or playing in my back yard as a kid. In the summer of 2023 A Court of Thorns and Roses introduced me to a new world to fall in love with for the first time in forever, and I wanted to experience it for myself. Companies in other parts of the country were putting on book and fantasy events, but there was a void in the Southeast. And so this idea began to form. In my adult life I want to bring that magic of midnight releases and book fairs and dressing up that brought so much joy to so many of us as children.
I hope to create an inclusive community of book lovers and friends, new and old, and support local book shops and artists so we never have to let go of that magic.
More about the founder
Since I was a child I always loved playing dress-up. I was one of those 4-year olds who would wear their princess costumes in public at all times of the year. Disney of course introduced me to princesses, but movies and series like Titanic, A Secret Garden, BBC’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and The Last Unicorn inspired me in a different way, introducing people with complexity and strength. My parents took me to see Frodo take up the burden of the Ring when The Fellowship of the Ring was released in theaters. Upon watching the extensive behind the scenes, I knew I wanted to do that. It wouldn’t be until I got to college that I figured out what that was, and graduated with a degree in production design and a costume design concentration. As serendipity would have it, I didn’t love working in film without my friends, but the hospitality company I worked for had an event design opportunity. I found a new love in creating in-person experiences for guests and after 5 years wanted to do something for me. Inspired by my new dive into fantasy novels, I decided I couldn’t wait for the magic to come to Atlanta. I couldn’t be happier to share my worlds and create a community of diverse creatives.
